LASERS & MORE

Lasers are revolutionizing the way dental diseases are treated.  We are currently using the Erbium Dental Laser.  It emits a precise beam of light that targets and destroys dental decay.

Lasers promote faster healing.  Lasers produce little or no post-operative discomfort.  Lasers provide safe, fast, comfortable and effective treatment for both hard tissues (your teeth) and soft tissues (your gums, lips, and tongue).

Lasers can eliminate or greatly reduce the need to use the dental drill, the noise of the drill and the smell of the drill.  Also, Lasers sterilize the treatment area.

Lasers are gentler to the oral tissues than other methods of cutting tissue.

WHAT IS LANAP?

LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) is used to treat periodontal disease and save many teeth that were previously considered hopeless.  It uses the world’s first digital dental laser-the PerioLase MVP-7, which was specifically designed for treating periodontal disease.  The PerioLase Laser is used as part of Laser Periodontal Therapy, to remove harmful bacteria and diseased tissue from the gum pocket by passing a laser light between gum and tooth.  Patients don’t hear or feel it- except for a little warmth.

The laser is an effective tool for improving overall dental health with less pain, less bleeding, less swelling, less tissue removal and less recovery time than traditional gum surgery.

You don’t have to worry about bleeding, stitches or post-treatment infection because your gums haven’t been cut.  You will also enjoy fewer follow-up visits and less time in the dentist chair.
